Research area
My research focuses on developing engineered neuromuscular tissues to control and actuate biohybrid robots. By combining biofabrication techniques and tissue engineering, I create platforms that support the formation of functional tissues which can then be integrated into biohybrid systems. The incorporation of neurons into engineered muscle tissues enables precise and selective control of muscle contractions, potentially allowing for complex motor patterns in biohybrid robots.
