Research area
I am a researcher in bioengineering, specializing in cardiac tissue engineering for translational applications. Currently I am completing my Ph.D. in the Soft Robotics Lab (MAVT), under the mentorship of Prof. Robert Katzschmann. My current research focus is engineering cardiac tissues which can be used in implatanble applications.
My past research has included Multidirectional Filamented Light (FLight) Biofabrication, which enables the creation of aligned, contractile cardiac tissues that mimic the structure and function of native myocardium. This technique is a promising advancement for regenerative medicine and biohybrid robotics applications. Additionally, I have contributed to the development of a high-performance, soft artificial heart prototype through injection molding, designed to enhance durability and hemodynamic performance for heart failure patients. My work has been published in journals such as Advanced Science, Soft Robotics, and the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS).
